A private pool changes the holiday
On the Algarve, a pool of your own is the difference between planning the day around the beach and letting the day happen: a swim before breakfast, kids in the water while lunch is on the barbecue, a quiet float after dark. Every home on this page — villas and a handful of apartments — has its own pool, and every one is booked direct with the local manager, with no portal fees.
Pool weather, month by month
Unheated pools here are comfortable from late May to early October. In July and August the water does half the childcare; in June and September you get the same swimming with cheaper nights and easier restaurant tables. Some of our houses can heat the pool for shoulder-season stays — ask before booking.
Villa or apartment with pool
The villas give you the full package: garden, barbecue, parking, no neighbours above. The apartments with pool are the budget route to the same morning swim, mostly around Albufeira and a short walk from the beach. Use the filters above to narrow by bedrooms or sea view.
Tips for pool days
The Algarve sun is stronger than it feels in the breeze — shade the pool area from one to four and nobody burns. Travelling with toddlers? Tell us when you book and we'll flag which houses take a safety fence. And run the pool robot overnight, not while you're swimming: it's usually programmed already, so just leave it be.
