Why book your Albufeira holiday rental direct
Albufeira is the busiest resort town on the Algarve, and most of what you find on the big portals is the same stock managed from a call centre abroad. Every home on this page is looked after by our team on the ground: we hold the keys, we do the check-in, and if the boiler acts up on a Sunday, the person who fixes it is fifteen minutes away. Booking direct also means no portal service fee, which on a week's stay usually covers a couple of dinners in the old town.
Which part of Albufeira suits you
The Old Town is cobbled streets, the fishermen's beach and dinner on foot — best for couples and anyone who wants to leave the car parked. Oura and the Strip are livelier, closer to the nightlife. Galé and the western edge are quieter and more residential, where most of the villas with private pools sit. Olhos de Água and Balaia, to the east, are family territory with calmer beaches.
When to come
July and August are peak, with warm sea and full terraces. June and September give you the same weather with room to breathe, and prices drop noticeably. From October to May, Albufeira stays mild and many of our guests are long-stay: walkers, golfers and remote workers escaping northern winters.
Getting there and around
Faro airport is a 35-minute drive; a pre-booked transfer costs about the same as two airport taxis. In town, the Giro bus loops between the Old Town, Oura and the marina for about two euros. If you stay central you can skip the hire car; for Galé or the villas, take it and use the free lots above the Old Town.
