Monte Rentals was created by an international team who share a passion for property, hospitality, and transparency.
Having gone through the same journey as many of our clients, navigating Portuguese regulations, learning local systems, and building trust with suppliers, we understand first-hand the challenges of owning and managing property from abroad.
This inspired us to design a service that combines professionalism with empathy: delivering clarity, protecting your returns, and giving you peace of mind while we take care of every detail.

The Old Town is the Albufeira that existed before the resorts: whitewashed lanes, tiled façades, the fishermen's beach at the bottom of the hill. Staying here means doing the whole holiday on foot — beach in the morning, lunch in a square, dinner without ever looking for parking. The homes on this page are all in or within a short walk of the old centre, managed by our local team and booked direct with no portal fees.
Praia do Peneco and Praia dos Pescadores are the two town beaches, reached by the tunnel or the lift from the old centre. Both have calm water, soft sand and lifeguards in season. Ten minutes on foot to the east, Praia dos Alemães is usually less crowded.
The lanes are cobbled and some buildings are walk-ups, so pack accordingly. August evenings are lively around the main squares; if you want silence at midnight, pick one of our homes a few streets uphill — same walk to the beach, quieter nights.
Sunset from the Pau da Bandeira viewpoint above the fishermen's beach costs nothing and beats any rooftop bar. The cave-and-coastline boat trips leave straight from the town beach — go early morning for flat water. And the clock tower and chapel lanes north of the square are the prettiest five minutes of wandering in town, before the day-trippers arrive.
